I picked up this radio recently and it turns on all 5 tubes light up it produces a low hum when B/F nob is set to B and no sound when set to F.I don't have antenna but when i touch ant terminal on back a get a faint low screach when set to B at around 1100mhz.Other than that not much happens.

Wade, I would add an antenna and start troubleshooting in a systematic manner. Trying to guess the one thing that will bring this radio to life is difficult.

Capacitors probably need to be replaced, but if you start wholesale cap replacement before troubleshooting, I fear that you may introduce one or more wiring errors and still not get your radio working.

It seems that the power transformer is OK and probably the tubes also - so there is likely nothing seriously wrong.
