A friend of mine is having trouble identifying his radio. It is a green colored Apex with a volume knob, a compensation knob, and a main tuning knob. The front of the radio is metal while the sides and top are wood. Can anyone help??

In follow up to describing the raidio, a piece of the radio has a patent sticker dating 1926.

Meghan, I take it that there is no model number?

Then describe the radio some more: table model or console, number of tubes, AC or battery.

This Apex radio has no model number visable... It has 5 tubes: 3x 201a and two no labeling. This is a battery powered radio, also a console radio. It has 4 knobs including the power switch, one for volume, one for compersation, and the main tuning knob.

If anyone can help us by chance we would really appriciate it.

Thank you, Chris
