Hi I was just going over the philco repair bench website and it shows a model 70 and a model 90....and it looks like the model 90 case has if you will.....looks like wood feet......where as the model 70 has no cut out at the bottom........its all the way across....my model 90 does not have this cut out...so does that mean I really dont have a model 90 case?

Doesn't seem to be a 90. The 90 chassis has 9 tubes and 70 has 7 tubes. There are some other models that look similiar to the 70 and 90 as well. What is the tube complement?

:this is funny because I didnt notice this until now. I have had the radio for 3 years. I know the chassis is a 90 because it says so and it does have 9 tubes. The case however is in question. Did someone put together this radio using a model 70 case and a model 90 chassis? one might think so. And yess it has the one output tube 47

Sean: I'm convinced you have 90 chassis. However, the 90 cabinet should have feet.

:well it doesnt have any feet whatsoever. there is no space underneath the radio inbetween the what appears to be feet in the picture on the philco repair bench website. the whole radio touches the table or what ever its resting on

The 60 (which I own) had two cabinet styles (as I found out). Perhaps the 90 does as well? Chassis and cabinet combining is possible with many of the Philco radios. Also, perhaps the feet are missing?

:well from what I have seen the feet are nothing but what is left of the bottom of the radio model 70 cabinet. so one would take a jigsaw to a model 70 case 4 inches from the end in front and cut away till 4 inches to the other end and it would look like a model 90(not that I would actually do this). what I am trying to say is it looks like the 90 cases are cut out having the appearance of feet.
