Wrong tube

My radio has a 50L6 where a 35L6 should be, it also has 20uf filter caps where 30uf should be. It is a RCA 16x14 & the onhm reading across the mains is infinite. Should I replace the filter caps with 30's and should I replace the tube?

50L6 is fine. This will run the tubes a bit cooler, and they will last longer, though may take longer to warm up. I've done this on occasion when I didn't have a spare 35L6 at hand.

Regarding filters, in an AC-DC radio, 30 and above is ideal. If 20 works, go with it, though will probably notice a significant reduction in hum if you install a 50 as the primary and a 30 as the secondary.
