1931 vICTOR MODEL R-16

I need help!!!
I have a Victor model R-16 and I have been unable to find a schematic diagram for that model. It was made in Montreal and that could be the reason why? It is almost identical to a model R-15 except for the volume control circuitry. My volume control is badly frayed ( wirewound ) and needs to be replace. It has a P/N stamped on it (M64000) and it is non-linear.I do not know what to do from here.I would think that I could repair it if the resistive wire was available. is there a source somewhere? Or would you know where I could get a replacement? I would appreciate any suggestions/comments/info about this. Thank you for reading this. Sincerely, Michael

Hi,
A schematic is in your email. Perhaps others will have some good suggestions on repair.
