Hello,

I saved this television from the crusher the other
day and just got around to trying it. Now I know the
caps and some resistors are going to need to be replaced.
I tried it any way jsut to see if the picture tube
would come on. Everything lights up but no picture and
no sound. So now I will start replacing the dried out parts
and test all of the tubes. My question is: I would like
to know more about this set. It has a tube chart but that is
it. I would like to know the year this was made?

Well, after searching the net all day, I found out that aside
from radio, their is nothing about them on the net.
I called Sams to see if they have the photo facts and the guy
told me he did not knwo they made a television...
(The sams guy gave me a number to another place I am going to try)

I guess I can fix it with out any inof since it is rather large and everything is there,
but I would have liked to have the specs and such just
to have them. So if you happen to read this and have any
info, please pass it along.

Check on E-bay under antique television Rider's manuals. There is a listing which includes a set of manuals with Hallicrafters being one of the brands.

Look on e-bay under Antique Television Rider's Manuals with Hallicrafters. The manuals up for auction have listings for Hallicrafters Television.
