Can anyone tell me what the best quality brand capacitor to use to recap the chassis of my amp?

Hi John

For me it's any capacitor that meets the value & voltage characteristics. Check out AES, www.tubesandmore.com . They have all kinds of special caps.

Thanks Norm, that's what I was thinking myself. I have heard many different things from many different people saying that I should use Sprague Atom Caps because of the quality. My theory is, the caps of today pretty much excede what were used then anyway. Thank you for you input.

Hi John,
Just curious. Are you going to replace the power cord with a 3-prong?
