Naval Jelly

Help,

I am having a difficult time finding Naval Jelly here in Canada. Does anyone know where I can buy some of this magical jelly?
I live in Ontario, near Peterborough.

Is it actually jelly? What type of container does it come in? Who makes it?

Gary

Hi Gary

Naval Jelly is sold in hardware stores in the US. It is a thick, pink liquid. Made by Loctite Corporation, Automotice & Consumer Group, Cleveland, Ohio.

Hi Gary,
I took a look at a container of Naval Jelly on my shelf. Mine is made by the Permatex Corporation, but I believe that Permatex may be owned or related to Loctite Corporation as Norm describes. It does not contain a complete list of ingredients, but says "contains phosphoric acid". Maybe this will help you locate a similar product in Canada?

Thanks for all the help.

I found out a few things in my search:

Loctite no longer makes Naval Jelly.
Permatex is the only source that I could find, thanks Poston.

And thanks to all your help I found a source close to my home.

Gary

I just got some Naval Jelly for Christmas! It is made by Henkel, the parent company of Loctite.
