Minerva Tropic Master Problems
1/4/2006 10:19:08 PMKris G.
Hi, I have a Tropic Master that likes to go into a bad oscillation, it will work fine on parts of the band then will at random go into oscillation and squeal when being tuned. All of the troublesome caps have been replaced and tubes checked and replaced as needed, I have also performed an alignment which helped a bit.
Any Ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Kris

The problem is usually caused by bypass caps or lack of tube shielding. Are tube shields in place and making contact with the chassis?

Be sure wires going to the speaker are away from other components.
