Output transformer Zenith 4G903
1/1/2006 6:58:30 AMLoek
I'm trying to find information about this transformer, stocknumber 156-38.

According to the schematic the DC resistance from the primary windings is 700 Ohm.
Can someone perhaps tell me what the winding ratio is and audio-watts, so that I can find a replacement. Any tips on where to find such a transformer?

Thanks in advance
Loek

Hi Loek

The 4G903 has a 3V4 output tube. This tube should operate into an output transformer with 10,000 ohm primary impedance. This is not the same as DC resistance noted as 700 ohms.

You can find universal output transformers at AES, www.tubesandmore.com and Radio Daze, www.radiodaze.com . PTOP, www.oldradioparts.com may have on original?

One other quick comment. A 3V4 is rated less than 1/3 watt so a small output transformer will work.
