NATIONAL UNION RADIO CORPORATION MODEL 571-210-1522

Help, I have gotten my hands on a Model 571 National Union Radio, I have been tinkering with old radios for a while and have never heard of this Brand before, does anyone have any info on these, it is a standard 5 tube octal radio so nothing stupendous about that, just wondered how rare it is. Cabinet is made out of wood and looks kind of like a bread box about the same size. Any info would be greatly appreciated. By the way I ahve it singing pretty good, but the cabinet is in BAD need of a refinish or refreshing any suggestions on what is best, looks like the varnish is peeling pretty badly, but the wood looks OK.
