Hello Miriam, The Australian Philco might have a different numbering system to the US models, some used the first two digits from the year of manufacture (as in the US) and some used straight numbers. I'm not sure if the number you're quoting is the model number or not. I couldn't find it but I haven't got all the Australian models information on hand. I'm not sure if you want to fix it yourself or find someone to do the work for you. I'm in Victoria, Australia so I'm a bit far away. There's a member of the HRSA (Historical Radio Society of Australia) at St. Leaonards NSW who advertises in the club magazine with parts and servicing of old radios. If you want the work done ask for an estimate before getting the work started, it will be difficult to be precise as there might be things that only show up after some of the work has been started but you should get a fair idea so you know what's involved.
