I need to know, what efects will be if i use 82pF caps in place of 100pF caps?

i don't have any 101's on hand, but i do have plenty of 82's.

Depending upon where it's used, it may or may not change frequency response. Give it a try. You can always remove it and put in the correct one when one is available. Smaller values respond less to lower frequencies, so this change will shift a tuning circuit slightly upward in frequency range.

Does this condenser need replacing? If it is mica (colored dots), these seldom need replacing. Test with your ohm meter. If the needle reads infinity, and doesn't linger above this by any amount (even the thickness of a sheet of paper), then your condenser is fine. There's no need to replace these when they aren't failing. They rarely fail.

Thanks Thomas, I've almost completed the transmitter, so i geuss when i fire it up tomorrow i'll see if it works. This is an expiremanet set so things are going to get changed, and the coil played with a little.
