Loctal 7b7
12/26/2005 11:11:02 AMJohn Paul Andolina Jr.
Hello Radio Experts! Can you please tell me any good sub. numbers for the 7b7 loctal tube? I see that a 7ah7 is listed as the best one, has anyone tried this? Also, does anyone have a few nos 7b7's for sale or trade? Thanks all, happy and safe holidays to you.

Hi John

It depends on your radio. If you have an AC/DC radio (No Power Transformer) use a 14A7.

If your radio has a power transformer 7A7 would be a good replacement.

There are others but I wouldn't suggest 7AH7. If a person doesn't have a 7B7 they probably won't have 7AH7 as it wasn't used very often.

Here are some others to try with the same basing: 7C7, 7AG7 (sharp cutoff), 7H7 (power transformer radio only), 14H7 (AC/DC radio, no power transformer).
