Does anyone know how to design an antenna for a low power home brew 1500 KHz AM transmitter?

Just drape 6-10 ft. of wire around. Should work fine.

The wavelength of 1500 kHz is too long to really do anything fancy.

Hey Gary,

Agree with Doug. However, keep it as short as you can and still cover the areas you want to cover. As I mentioned to you before, the longer the wire and higher it is the more output it gives to the outside world. At that frequency, it's amazing how far that signal can carry on a good propagation night.

To be honest, if you have a basement, the best would be to wind a turn around the basement ceiling. That usually will reduce outward radiation and restrict it to upward radiation. Probably just what you want for your home player application.
