Jordi, what is the model no. and manufacturer?

If an AM radio has a built-in antenna, it should receive broadcast stations with just that antenna. If the radio doesn't have a built-in antenna, just an antenna terminal, then it will need an antenna wire to pick up stations.

When you say "exterior antenna," do you mean exterior to the radio cabinet or an antenna that is outdoors? An outdoor antenna should not be required to receive AM broadcast stations, except for a crystal radio.

Doug,

I believe in an earlier post Jordi stated the model number was RCA Victor 8-BT-10E. I pointed him to a site where an RCA Victor 8BT10K was located. It is an older transistor radio.
