FISTELL'S ELECTRONICS, at 10th. & Bannock in Denver has an amazing inventory of pwr xfmrs, flybacks, volume pots w & w/o switches, SAMS Photofacts from back in the 40's & 50's on up, and tons of other stuff in their basement. If you're looking for something wierd or difficult to find, give 'em a call. Ask for Dar or Darlene, she's old Mr. Fistell's daughter.

Now, where can I get some dial cord? Nah, they're out.

Bill Turner (DialCovers@webtv.com) (or is that singular? I'll double check that) I believe sells the dial chord as well as AES (www.tubesandmore.com).

Hi,
This is one area that I really do not sweat originality, I use a 25 pound or 30 pound rated braided fish line. It is the right diameter, the right amount of "tooth", and is quite cheap when compared to what some of the vendors of dial cord charge.
