Help identifying GE 'Translator' JFM 90
10/29/2005 7:33:56 PMJean
Range is 42-50 megacycles. Appears to be a radio receiver. Has 9 tubes, no amplifier. Think it dates to the 40's. Anyone know what this is? Thanks a lot.

Hi Jean,
This is the obosolete FM band. Just a tuner to still receive the old band on a AM radio with a phono input.

Thanks Richard. We thought it was a tuner - just didn't know what for. It still works. We hooked it up to an amplifier and picked up a harmonic of 95.1 - somewhere in the 47 range. Thanks again, we really appreciate it.

Jean
