Also once the knobs are off is there anything else I need to do before the chassis can come out??
Thank you!!
I'm going to guess that the knobs don't have set screws that hold them to the shaft. If they do, you need to loosen them. If they don't, I've had great success slipping the edge of a handkerchief securely behind the knob and pulling they hanky with both hands. This forces the knob out from it's backside. You'll probably have to anchor your hands or knuckles against the radio cabinet, so be careful.

Jeff
:I'm trying to take out the chassis for my radio in order to repair it. I've unscrewed the bolts at the bottom, but can't take the knobs off. Please can you give me some tips on how to do this??
