Hello everybody, I change the paper and electrolytic caps and change the drifted resistors on this radio.
It was playing good for some days but yesterday I was hearing at a radio program and suddenly it became to make a noise at the speaker like burning leafs and the music gone. Now it makes only that sound with no music, I change all the tubes including the 80 but it still making the same sound like a fire.
I’m stuck here and don’t have idea where to go.

Hi Milton

First check solder connections. Move wires around with an insulated probe.

If the radio still doesn't operate check plate & screen voltages. These should be positive.

I didn't find Andrea 3D5 but found 3D7. It might be similar?

Could also be either a new cap or an overlooked "mica" cap that has decided to arc. Could be a vibrating tube short, too, though not too likely. Placing tubes in your tester and performing element to element shorts tests while tapping the tubes may reveal this. Norm's suggestions are the most likely, however.

Milton that's a good description of an open field coil. Somewhat like frying sound? Yes, I believe you should check the field coil.
