:When I found this radio, several parts were missing; Coils, IF transformers, tubes, filters. I rebuilt it. Audio section is fine, but I catch only one radio station very slow, I tried to adjust the IF's and the trimmers do not work. I do not have the original transformers, I used a couple Meissner 16-6660 news from my stock (456 KC) also the oscillator coil Meissner 14-1033 (456 KC) and the original Variable capacitor, and I used a set a tubes for another working radio (35Z5, 50L6, 12SQ7, 12SK7, 12SA7). I checked the rest of the components and all are OK.
:Somebody can help me? Thanks a lot.

You have 1.5 volts negative on grid #1. I would expect more. With the coil wired one way then reversed did you find different voltage on pin #5? One direction it should read close to pin #6. In the other several volts negative.
Why is pin #6 at 10 volts? In the 35X schematic it has a coil to ground. This is cathode of 12SA7 and should be near zero. (Check this out first.)

:In the oscillator coil Meissner 14-1033, bteween the terminals A and B is 3.9Ù and B and C is 0.4Ù. Terminal A is connected to the grid, pin5 of 12SA7 through a capacitor of 68mmfd, terminal B to the cathode, pin 6 and terminal C to negative. The voltage in pin 5 is +8.5 volts and in pin 6 is +10 volts.
:I switched the terminal A and C of the coil, ans nothing ocurrer.

Does your 12SK7 have voltage on pins #6 and #8. Both should be positive, 60 volts or greater. Pins 3, 4 and 5 should be near zero. Plate, pin #8, should go to an IF transformer.

You can use a small metal screwdriver but be careful. Touching the screw and can at the same time may cause sparks.
To lower the IF frequency adjusting screws need to be tightened. Try turning them to the right.

::::::::Hi Jordi
::::::::
:::::::: You have 1.5 volts negative on grid #1. I would expect more. With the coil wired one way then reversed did you find different voltage on pin #5? One direction it should read close to pin #6. In the other several volts negative.
::::::::
:::::::: Why is pin #6 at 10 volts? In the 35X schematic it has a coil to ground. This is cathode of 12SA7 and should be near zero. (Check this out first.)

:::::::::Hi Norm.
:::::::::In the oscillator coil Meissner 14-1033, bteween the terminals A and B is 3.9Ù and B and C is 0.4Ù. Terminal A is connected to the grid, pin5 of 12SA7 through a capacitor of 68mmfd, terminal B to the cathode, pin 6 and terminal C to negative. The voltage in pin 5 is +8.5 volts and in pin 6 is +10 volts.
:::::::::I switched the terminal A and C of the coil, ans nothing ocurrer.
:::::::::Any idea?

:::::::::::When I found this radio, several parts were missing; Coils, IF transformers, tubes, filters.
:::::::::::Somebody can help me? Thanks a lot.
:::::::::::Jordi
How did you determine the IF frequency? If you are using a signal generator dial make sure it's accurate. You can check a signal generator by beating the second harmonic against a known radio station. If the signal generator is set to 550 you should be able to hear it on a radio tuned to 1100.
If you are sure it's that high adjust IF transformers lower by tightening adjusting screws.
Norm
:Norm, what do you thing about the IF frecuency 550KC in place of 456KC?
:Jordi
::Hi Jordi
::
:: You can use a small metal screwdriver but be careful. Touching the screw and can at the same time may cause sparks.
::
:: To lower the IF frequency adjusting screws need to be tightened. Try turning them to the right.
::
::Norm
::
:::I built one plastic screwdriver for the adjustment.
:::But the IF is arount 550KC in place of 456KC. What is the problem?

::::Hi Norm:
::::I checked the voltage in the pins of 12SK7, the connection to pin #6 WAS MISSED, I connect to +B and now is 75 volts,also in pin #8 to IF transformer, in pin #3 and #5 is cero but in #4 is -3V.
::::I thinck that I need adjust the IF's transformer, but I need one scredriver non metalic.

:::::Hi Jordi
:::::
::::: Does your 12SK7 have voltage on pins #6 and #8. Both should be positive, 60 volts or greater. Pins 3, 4 and 5 should be near zero. Plate, pin #8, should go to an IF transformer.
:::::
::::: From here you have a 12SQ7. Touching pin #2 on the 12SQ7 should cause loud hum.
:::::
