The BC band works great. I don't get anything on the other band except I think it's an AM station which comes in weak thru out the dial. I don't measure any ohms from the antenna terminal to ground. Also there's a cut wire from terminal one where the 10K is connected. I can tell it's factory soder joint. Anybody know what this connected to? Thanks.

That's terminal one on the waveband switch.

Bill,

Their should be continuity between the antenna terminal and ground according to the schematic. Either about 12 ohms or 1 ohm determined by which position the bandswitch is in. Try measuring the continuity from the 10K at position 1 on the schematic and see if you have continuity. The broken/cut wire may be the connection to the antenna terminal.

Thanks Radiodoc. I got back to the 60 yesterday. I figured I had an open too. I took out the antenna transformer and the .7 ohm coil was opened on most all the turns. They just came off in pieces. I guessed at the turns and wound some wire I got from a toroidal inductor. I ended up with 12.3 ohms from antenna to ground. And yes the antenna wire was connected to terminal eight for whatever reason. I changed it to number one. Things were ok last night tho I didn't pick up much on short wave. Today things didn't go so good. The volume on-off is acting up...turn off and you get delayed click then off. Only getting garbled stations by touching the antenna to cap on 6A7. I knew the 75 was borderline, retest today and worse. I'm going to order me some 75's, I get good used tubes, and try to get another pot if this one don't clear up from my latest cleaning. This old set will come around. Again, appreciate your help.
