Help needed for a Pilot 402 tuner amplifier
10/8/2005 11:05:18 PMhpfclxc
Just got a Pilot console that has a model 402 tuner amplifier and a Garrard changer in it. This tuner/amp was totally messed up by the previous owner or repair person. The 402 chasis is totally gummed up, as if someone had sprayed plenty of WD-40 on it. The rectifier tube (5AR4) appears to be dead (white cloud on top), and the broken fuse has Aluminum foil wrapped around it. I am sure there are other problems, so before I start to work on it, I would appreciate a pointer to a schematic diagram, a service manual, and other information about this tuner amplifier. TIA.

hpfclxc,

The Sam's annual index lists a Pilot 402 as being in Photofact 719-7. Samswebsite.com lists this Photofact. Perhaps someone else on this forum may have this data they can send you.

Radiodoc,

Thank you very much for the Photofact information. I will try to obtain a copy of it.
