My dad recently passed away and left me with a ton of antiques, one of which is an antique radio. I have not been able to find out anything about it. can you help? it says franklin on the front under the dial, it has a dial for AM FM AFC and volume. The only markings are a sticker on the back model c-101 franklin radio corp. Newark NJ. It is in excellent condition and works perfectly. I would like to know the time frame and value. I would also like to know if it could possibly be a replica. I have digital photos if you would be interested in seeing them. Thank you for your time.

If the radio comes on instantly and possibly has a cassette player on the side, then it's a reproduction. Tube type radios (battery portables as the exception) usually take at least 6 seconds to come on. Some take up to 20 or 30 seconds.
