I have the insides of a Zenith Extended Stereo console unit. Two chasis. My take is that one is the power amp and the other the pre-amp and inputs.
I am trying to determine the chasis model(s), more directly, find the schematics for this unit. An approximate age would be nice.
The power amp chasis has (4) EL84, (2) 12AX7, and (1) 5U4 and the only ledgible markings on this chasis are a paper stamp with 7D2???, as near as I can tell, and an ink stamp with 486 circled.
The power amp rectifier transformer is stamped with 95-1638 and the second t-former 95-1691 (the third speaker output t-former is covered with a color code wire sticker that I have not removed ... yet.
The pre-amp has a paper stamp 9D24.
The unit itself was a console with (2) 12" drivers+, a record player, AM/FM, and tape input. The extended speaker cabinet had (1) 12" driver+. The unit also has "Extended Stereo" with (2) output jacks on the back.
Any information regarding this unit will be appreciated. And, as I disect the chasis's for repair, more information will become available.
Thanks All

:Keith you most likely have a 7D31 amp chassis and a 9D24 tuner covered by SAMS 495-19. The amp tubes and the power transformer and T2 audio transformer 95-1691 match. The other audio transformer T3 is part number 95-1692. These chassis's were used on different models and if you don't have the cabinet the model number may remain a mystery. I'm in a rush to get going right now but I'll send the amp schematic later if e-mail address is available. Man, four 6BQ5's...not bad. Good old Zenith stuff from 1960.

:Thanks Bill.
:The schematic looks very promising. Should be a fun little amp when I get it working.
