Can anyone suggest an appropiate replacement for the rectifier bridge desiginate as B250 75 N 2 ?? A shcematic for the same would also be useful. Any help will be most appreciated! Thanks!

I'm not sure, but it is probably a bridge. Can you
find 2 connections marked ~ and a + and a - connection
or connections with a similar marking ?
If it is a bridge and if you cannot find the exact
replacement part or an analog selenium rectifier,
I suggest to use a bridge of 1N4004 and a serie
resistor.

Re: Grundig 7015 selenium rectifier, Probably Siemens
process plates which are no longer available to the best
of my knowlege. Available plates would be of greater
surface area, not identical but, seleniums are still
available. Send a good sketch of what you have to me.

Another fine method is to open the selenium carefully
, get the smelly seleniun-stuff out and fiddle the
four 1N4007 in the case. So it looks originally.
I did so several times. The resistor in series, suggested
by Claude Frantz, is not stricktly recommended but seems
to be useful if the plate-voltage raises over 30v.The right
value must be checked out.(finally getting 300v) If there
appears tuneable hum
in the am-bands(esp. sw) the transformer scondary must be
shunted by 0.01 to 0.1 mfd, in hard cases all diodes of
the rectifier.
