Does anyone have information on this Valve/Tube? There is no reference in the book for my tube tester.

Hi Mark

AZ31 is not used in the US. I did find this tube listed in a manual from Australia.

AZ31 is a full wave rectifier. Filament rated 4 volts @ 1.1 amps. Can supply 100 ma if used with 300 volts input. Derate current to 60 ma with 500 volts. Filament pins 2 and 8. Plates pins 4 and 6.

Might get away with using a 5W4? Pins are the same but filament is rated 5 volts @ 1.5 amps. A high emission tube should work.
