I just found out this radio and i am planning on rebuilding it all over. I am a woodworker but no knowledge at all about radios, specially ones running with lamps.
You can see the picture of the beast on my blog at :

A click on the thumbnail will give you the full picture.
Thanks in advance for the help !

Do you know the model number of your radio ? You will need it to obtain the schematic diagram and service information.......a must before attempting restoration/repair. "Antique Radio Restoration Guide - 2nd Edition" by David Johnson (Krause Publications, 700 E. State St., Iola, Wisconsin, 54990 - phone 715-445-2214). Check for it on Amazon or any other site that sells books.....possibly even your local bookstore. It is a very good way to familiarize yourself with the basics.....Do NOT plug the radio in until you learn more about repairing tube radios.
