Philco 38-14

The dial face on this radio is in sad shape. Some time ago the foil it is made up of started to peel off and scotch tape was used to hold it down. I was able to remove the yellowed tape but the foil is wrinkled and torn. Other than this the radio is untouched and the cabinet is in great condition.

Is there any source for dial faces on antique radios?

Mike: Is the dial a plasic disk, or what?

If you can find somebody with a dial in good condition, perhaps you could scan it and fashion a replacement. Here is a website with a goodly number of scans of antique radio dials: http://www.indianaradios.com/

Sadly, not one for a Philco 38-14.

Doug,

No, it is a flat rectangle and the freqs are printed on a piece of thin foil. The foil is in bad shape.
