Philco 37-604 is in Rider Vol #7, page 41. It's the only radio on that page so schematic can't be listed under a different model. Have no idea why it's missing on nostalgiaair.
If you don't have Rider Vol #7 might try model 604 on nostalgiaair and see if it's close.

:Hello All,
: I looked through the Riders here at Nostalgia Air and see that the Philco 37-604 isn't there. Is this model not covered in Riders?

The bias cells aren't rechargeable but some drill a small hole in them and add water. Not worth the effort to me. You could use a watch or calculator battery. It will last shelf life. There is no current drain on this battery.
Ni-cad batteries don't hold charge for long periods of time. Not worth using besides you would need to add a charging circuit.
Usually bias cells can be eliminated. Just short across but don't leave them open. They were used to bias a grid negative, mostly in battery radios. Negative grid causes a tube to draw less current, lower battery drain. Later radios didn't use bias cells. There are other ways to bias tubes and high gain triodes can operate with zero bias.
You could contact Richard@nostalgiaair.org . Rich may be able to find out why your radio isn't listed on nostalgiaair. He does have Rider so it should be there. Might be listed wrong?

:Norm,
: I found the original Philco service data on line. I notice that this radio has a bias cell. Is this a rechargable cell? Will a NiCad cell work as a replacement?
: The service data was free on that website to take. Should I donate a copy to Nostalgia air or should I find the link?
