Problems with site

Why am I getting a 404 error after I open a few postings? It happens on multiple computers. I have to back out and reopen the site once it starts doing it.

I don't know why you would get such an error but I can tell you that I have never run into such a problem on this site, even when viewing dozens of postings. If no one else reports the same error then perhaps the problem resides in your own software or operating system. Wish I could be more help.

I get a 404 error whenever I try to open last month's postings.

Hi

Not a problem for here. I can open last months and earlier messages.

Russ,

I have had the same problem. It happens when I use the Firefox web browser but does NOT happen if I am using Internet Explorer.

What's happening is that Firefox appears to not interpret the link correctly for topics appearing in the previous month. You can see the list of topics but get a 404 error if you try to read any of them.

If I start up Firefox and mouse over a link from last month, it will appear like this,

http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Messages/312/M0031312.htm

But the same link in IE shows up like this,

http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Forums/Messages/312/M0031312.htm

The one in IE is correct and works. So far this hasn't been enough of a nuissance for me to figure out why it is this way though.

Now, I understand my problem. I am using Netscape, which is similar to Firefox (Mozilla technology). You folks with Mr. Gate's browser don't have the problem, but I dislike MS Internet Explorer.
