Is there a simple way to do this (ie: a "plug & play" arrangement), or will I need to gut the entire power supply section and redesign it?
Thanks in advance.
hi you might look at this site http://www.qsl.net/wb4tur/images/dcdc.htm i looked but thought it was a bit too complicated for me maybe someday hope this helps.butch
:I'm looking for a circuit that would replace a 6 pin negative ground vibrator. I'd like to power this radio, a Zenith 6V27, with only a 6V power supply, as if it was being powered off a battery.

You can build a standard 4 pin vibrator circuit and add two diodes to replace the second set of contacts. If your email address is included I'll send you a circuit from a magazine.
