I was given a brown plastic case Silvertone,it is so small and simple its kinda cute.Guess it was a close
companion to some paint jobs (red and white).
Ammonia,WD40< and auto polish has not helped much.
What is the best way to clean and polish this type
of plastic?

Thanks
Bob

:I have been using Brasso with good results. I've used it on Bakelite as well as plastic. Type in "Brasso to clean old radios" in any search engine and you can read many testimonials from other folks.

: You might try waterless hand cleaner, available in auto supply stores. Under the trade name of 'Goop' or GoJoe. Nick S

Bob,
I've had limited success in similar situations with a product called "GOO GONE" My primary use was for removing glue/glued-on appliques and plastic automotive trim such as pin stripping. It contains petroleum distillates, so care should be exercised in its use.
