There is a CR197 in Rider Volume 16. It uses a 6SN7 driving a pair of 6V6's but the radio has 10 tubes, one being an eye. Didn't find CR187 listed.

My name is Sandi and I own a Magnavox CR199. Do you by any chance know where I might find out what year it was manufactured?
Thanks for any help/leads you can provide.

Hello, I am the owner of a Magnavox Belvedere Model 142B Phonograph and AM radio plus short wave in one console. It has not been turned on for 35 years. I have two service bulletins from Magnavox Service Bulletin 5250 No. 520508 for the turn table and Magnavox Service bulletin No. 1251 CR-188 Radio Chassis one for the short wave section. The Audio amplifier is a separate chassis posibly an AMP-101 That is the one I am looking for. My dad purchased it in 1946. I would like to restore it, can you help me?
The cabinet is made of Mahogany. Thank you.

Hello, John.
I also have a Magnavox Belvedere phonograph/radio in a beautiful mahogany console: Model 42, serial 12320, Style CPAR 405. Like yours, mine has not been plugged in for over thirty years. I would like to restore and refinish but don't know where to start. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

To Dan and John,
I also have a Magnavox Belvedere, Model 242B (FM/AM/SW/PH-78RPM).
I obtained it this weekend from a pre-yard sale procurement ($20.00)
The cabinet is beautiful, and the components all work after inserting a new fuse
and swapping out the old plug and power cord. The Broadcast tuner assembly
has some looseness, which cuts off the volume for the audio unless
tweaked, but once this adjustment is made, the unit sounds great. The rest
of the wiring needs to be overhauled, and one tube appears to be burnt out,
but this seems to have no affect on the overall operation.
Good Listening,
Nat Barbour

Hi Tom and Norm-
The CR187 is a year older (1946) than the CR197 (1947).
