I accidentally messed up the oscillator coil on a Mont
gomery-Ward model 62-425. Does any on know where to
start looking for its Part No. BE 110-46 Oscillator
Coil Assembly Complete.
Many thanks.

Charlie

It's unlikely that you will find an exact replacement but Antique Electronic Supply, tubesandmore.com , does sell an universal oscillator coil that will work for the broadcast band.

Hi Charlie, It's annoying when that happens. What did you do to the original coil. It might be possible to repair it. If the wire has broken off a lug or at the winding you might be able to unwind a turn or two and reconnect it. You can probably even completely rewind it with new wire if necessary, count the number of turns of old wire as you undo it and rewind with the same number. Keep the winding direction and connections the same to ensure positive feedback and oscillation. If it has a ferrite core that will give you some leeway for adjustment but an air core coil should be OK if you get the same number of turns and approximate coil size and shape. If you can't repair it the AES coil Norm suggested seem to work well. Good Luck, Don Black.

Many thanks for the reply, Don. A drill bit got away frome me and pretty well disemboweled the whole thing.
It's just going to need a new one.
