General Electric Model H-53
4/6/2005 6:55:56 AMGary W. Prutchick
For those of you who grow tired of this post, my apologies.

I have this great little General Electric wooden tabletop radio, Model H-53 but no schematic.
The tubes are 6SQ7, 6F6G, 6SA7, 6SK7 & 5Y4G

There is nothing listed in the Nostalgiaair resources.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary

You may need to select a schematic that's close. 6F6G could be 6V6 or 6K6. A 5Y4 is similar to 5Y3 just different basing.

Hi Norm:

Thanks for the reply.
What would be your best guess as to the model year?
I was thinking late 40s early 50s.

Just out of curiosity, why do you suppose this model doesn't appear to exist?

If you think a picture would help just send me your email address.

Gary

Hi Gary

I would guess older than that. Could be as early as 1939-1940. Don't know why your model isn't listed? Schematics are available for the most common radios. Should be able to find a similar schematic for your radio.
