Thanks!

Early versions of 01A had different prefixes for manufacturers. UX201A was used by RCA. CX301A by Cunningham. There are many others. All 01A's should be the same electrically.
A tube without an "A" has a 1 amp filament instead of .25 in the later version. A tube with "V" after the first letter has short pins. It requires a special socket which uses the side bayonet pin.. UV201A etc.

::I picked up a few old Atwater Kent and am trying to re tube them. I know the 01A has short pins but I would appreciate the differences between the rest of the tubes, as in can a 301 relace a ux201 long pins?

::Hi Jim
:if the pin configuration is the same between the 201 and 301, then the only thing you need to worry about is the clearance between the tube socket and the chassis.
