Your have the chassis # listed, if you can find the model or catalog number the schematic will be here in Nostalgia air. If you need some research tubesand more.com will locate the schematic for you, for a small fee. The are books on silvertones and "Machine age to Jet Age" most likely has your rig. As for the needle (styli) or cartridge its available from edsaunders@bellsouth.net

Try to get a diamond needle of good quality. Steel needles, that were likely used in that phonograph, will ruin your records quickly. Personally I'd change out the whole cartridge, but at very least put in a needle that will hold its shape. Unfortunately there are diamond needles being sold to-day that are both on a stiff shank and are not cut properly. I have purchased a few and they did instant damage to my records.

Hi Thomas P.
Hold off on paying for schematic. The SAMS is 61-18. Sorry I don't have but someone else may step up with a copy. It dates to 1949. The ones I've had, if I recall, had schematic and parts list. But everything else was ruined. Mint shape is great! I do have a spool of wire.
