I have an older Braun hi-fi from I think the fifties that I'm trying to get some additional history on. I can offer photos upon request. It has phono, FM, AM, 2 short waves, etc. in beautiful cabinet. It was given to me by my Grandfather. Any info on these Braun units would be much appreciated.

Hi Jeff- I have a Braun Hi-Fi from the 1950s too! My grandfather gave it to me before he died. The cabinet is in mint condition, other than the grill has yellowed a tad from his many years of smoking. I have a few spare tubes, but the radio/amp portion isn't working because someone clipped a few wires in it, and the wires, if I recall are all the same color. The last time I fired it up, the turntable worked fine. I was planning on scrapping the unit, but I just can't seem to do it. I still recall him playing Christmas music on it. Saw your old post and thought that I would respond to it
