There is no safety hazard in the two 40Mfd @ 450VDC electrolytic capacitors being used. First, the tolerance in the old Sprague electrolytic line was +80% and -20% in capacitance. Your voltage rating is three times (450VDC versus 150VDC)making them safer than the original. So long as you are not getting excessive AC hum with the volume turned down they are just fine.

:use+leaving it plugged in. Does anyone have a guess ??
