Motorola TS-174 looses raster after a about a minute.

Hello All,
I posted this separately because the first problem is solved. The picture's two fields separate and then fade out after a minute or so. Sometimes they flicker back on but eventually stay off. This seems like a power supply problem. The tuner and audio continue like nothing happened. So now the problem is sound, intermittent raster. When the raster is on I have a beautiful picture. All tubes test good. I tried a different 5U4 because sometimes if the power supply diodes are weak, the two fields separate like that.
When the problem starts, a white vertical line appears at the separation point. As this widens, the picture fades away.

Once this problem is solved, this tv will be great. When I have a picture its nice and bright. Amazing!

Please help.

Thanks,

Dave...

Hello Again,
I solved this one too. It had to do with the same voltage source involved in the first problem. It was the resistor that brings B+ to the the horizontal output tube. So it was all related.
I hope that this is interesting to everyone. Even though no one was able to respond, it helps me when I put things into words, find the problem.
If anyone has any questions about this set. I guess I know a lot about it now.
