I just received a Silvertone 6152 floor console radio. I noticed the two electrolytic cans mounted on the top of the chassis have the wires cut short. Could some one tell me what the wires are supoose to be connected to, so i can attempt to fix it

The electrolytics probably went bad, and you may find replacements under the chassis. They were probably left in place either for the heck of it or to keep the set original. Unless you are good at either stashing new units inside the old ones, or, in the case of old wet electrolytics, obtaining the appropriate electrolyte, you are best off leaving the old units alone and stashing modern units under the chassis.
