Spring Replacement

I lost a small spring to a tuning dial for a Philco 52-940. Would someone sell springs like this? What could I use as a replacement. The spring held the dial cord and the spring when on the dial.

Hi Dave,
Most of these tuning cord springs are fairly standard. If there is an electronics repair shop in your area they can probably sell you one which will work at a very low price. You might even find something at your local hardware store. These can also be purchased by mail order from most of the electronics suppliers, such as Antique Electronics Supply in Tempe, AZ: www.tubesandmore.com
Or if you wish, send me an email with your mailing address and I will be glad to send you one from my stock.
