Hi Dave,
The three capacitor kits you are considering from www.justradios.com are essentially equal in terms of performance as well as the mfd sizes and quantity of caps in each kit. Your choice will depend upon the type of equipment you will be servicing, as well as your personal preference.

Kit #1: Contains "axial"-lead caps, an excellent assortment of all the most commonly-used mfd sizes. These more closely resemble the physical appearance of the old wax paper caps in antique radios, and are therefore preferred by many restorers. If you are considering "restuffing" old paper cap shells, you will definitely want this style. My guess would be that this is the most popular capacitor kit sold by www.justradios.com.

Kit #2: Contains "radial"-lead caps. These more closely resemble the caps used in modern equipment, although from a performance standpoint they will work just fine in any antique radio. The mfd values in this kit are consistent with modern mfd values available from almost any cap supplier.

Kit #3: Pretty much the same thing as kit #2, except that the mfd values are more tailored for antique equipment. If you are new to radio repair, the mfd values in this kit will more closely resemble those of the old caps you are replacing, and make it easier for you to choose the appropriate sized replacement cap.

I hope this helps. If you have additional capacitor questions you should contact Dave Cantelon at www.justradios.com, you will find him very helpful.
