I have an old radio that a relative gave me. I looks like something from the 1940's, and I would like to know more about it. The radio is in a wooden cabinet and stands about 4' high. The front says General Elecric and has three options, short wave, amature aircraft and broadcast. There is seven or so push buttons on the front but I cant tell what their for. There is one large speaker in the front about 12" in diameter. I could not find a model number on it Thank You.

Hi Steve

Look for a model number in back of your radio. If you can't find one listing tube types may help identify the radio.
