Is anyone familiar with the Remler superhet kits, especially the 45 KC model?

Hi Bill

You can find a schematic for an early Remler superhet here.

:Hi Norm,
Thanks for the info. Have a variation of it (45KC) and wondering if anyone has any experience with the operation of it.

Hi Bill

A lot of these radios were kits. Most use a loop antenna, some with a tap. You will have two tuning knobs. One for the oscillator and other for antenna. The oscillator knob changes stations. Antenna peaks up signals.

Don't expect anything great from these older superhets. Stations will come in two places on the dial. These radios will also have extra tones as you tune.

Hi Norm,
This set is a kit wset up with a tapped loop antenna. The odd thing about it is that it uses a 222 as a detector, with 199's (5) up front and 2 6 vt tubes in the audio, as first and second (not a push pull set up) The 222 appears to be set up as a space charged detector rather than the screen grid set up. There is a variocoupler used as an oscillator coil with no means for adjusting it from the front panel.
Do you have any idea what the voltages would be?
Would the oscillator coil be a kind of set it and forget affair?:Hi Bill
