Zenth c1966 console no right ch. output

Hello folks!
Sorry for the e-intrusion but it's hard to find a good antique radio forum (although a '66 doesn't compare to a '45!). We have a circa 1966 Zenith 602L16 model y9-68 AM-FM-Phono solid
state stereo console that has just recently stopped generating
sound output to the right channel. I've inspected all wiring,
speakers are OK, and all removable transistors are firmly set in
their sockets. Has anyone had a channel drop out like this on
them? My guess is the problem is probably in the amp but can't be
certain. The left channel sounds fine. Do transistors crap out?

Any hints??
Many thanks!

Ed;
Yes, transistors can & do 'crap out'. The output xstrs are the first to suspect, as they run the warmest. If they short out, there usually is a burned resistor or two. Just about anything else in the right channel could cause a loss of signal. Don't overlook a dirty function switch as well--it shows by being noisy when switching. Zeniths are usually pretty reliable, but trouble can develop.
Good Lock.
