Thanks for your response! The Bulova model 310 from 1957 is the oldest tabletop radio I have with a printed circuit board. I also have a GE model T210B Dual Speaker Musaphonic AM-FM which is 1961. The Bulova needs a new AC cord (looks like a standard TV cheater cord) and filter capacitor. I replaced the dual paper electrolytic (50-30Mfd @150VDC) with two axial lead 47Mfd @250VDC on the Westinghouse. It's now has no AC ripple. The clock works great, so does the buzzer/radio alarm. However some of the tiny control knobs like radio/alarm/on/off and 60/0 are slipping. They are on tiny split shafts which I will very carefully try to widen with a knife. I do not want to use glue as it will make it difficult for them to be removed. Thanks again!
