I'm just wondering if any experts out there can help me figure out the age or model number of a victrola I recently purchased from an antique dealer. It is a portable model in a leather case which is electric, plays 78s, and has an internal speaker. Any ideas? I would really appreciate any input.
Cheers!

:Tried that and there's no label.....hmmmm....not sure what to try next... Any ideas? Would anyone be able to tell if I posted some pictures?
Here are some photos. Any ideas as to what model it is and/or when it was made? The box is wood covered with leather and the top has a record storage slot.

I see from your email address that you are located in Canada.
I looked at the photos and your Victrola appears to be an acoustic one with an electric motor drive. No amplifier or speaker, probably a small internal horn as in the earlier wind-up phonos.
I have the RCA service Manuals from 1927 to 1954 an it is not in them, probably because it is acoustic and has no tubes. This makes it harder to date.
Perhaps someone at the Canadian Vintage Phono Society www.capsnews.org could help date it. Failing that I may be able to locate the email address of an individual that may be able to look at your photos but I would not want to post it without permission. I could email it if needed.
