Does anyone know the gage of wire and no. of turns for the rf coils?

Hi Bill

I measured the main winding as having wire @ .008. This turns out to be 32 ga. I have seldon found the main winding to be open. Usually mice damage the smaller, coupling winding.

A model 35 has 3 RF coils. Check one of the other coils to determine number of turns on the main winding. Use 10 turns on the coupling winding although each coil has a different number of turns here.

If you don't have any of the coils figure 125 turns for the main winding. This will give 1" of #32 wire. Exact number of turns isn't critical but all 3 coils should be the same here. The main winding determines frequency range of tuning.

Hi Norm.
Thanks for the info. All three coils are there but it looks like extreme moisture has gotten to the set. All 3 RF coil (primaries) are open, along with the antenna choke coil, and both audio transformers. A lot of work to rebuild. The secondaries are OK. Thanks again,
Bill
